More Linux Resources
Published March 24th, 2006 in General LinuxThere are two additional resources for new Linux users that I would like to point out to LR listeners. The first is a site called LinuxBasics.org and they have a great set of tips, courses, and tutorials, as well as an excellent community that provides help through the site’s IRC channel and mailing list. Please check them out and consider subscribing to their mailing list.
Additionally, Jon Watson, former host of the GNU/Linux User Show, and current co-host of JaK Attack!, has created a new site called The Linux Learning Station that will provide short video tutorials on how to do various things in Linux. I think this is a fantastic idea for new Linux users and for Linux users who may not understand English very well and who therefore have a difficult time reading English blogs and forums. Jon has already posted one video and I am sure that more will follow soon.
I have added links to both of these sites in the right column of the LR homepage and I will mention both of these new resources in the next episode of LR as well.
